Family Coach
A Family Coach with Project-Mosaic is an employee who develops an authentic relationship with Participants and their family on their assigned caseload. Project-Mosaic Coaches will assist Participants through decision making, will supports goals and aspirations of participants and; create space and opportunity that promote growth and accountability. A Family Coach teaches, leads and guides with efforts to reduce life’s challenges of all participants.
Essential Function/Responsibilities
- Meet with Participants weekly (2-5 hours)
- Coordinate with other professionals on the team as well as with the family
- Attend client meetings as needed
- Serve as a positive role model by introducing Participants to positive resources and opportunities within the community
- Complete an assessment to better guide interventions (interventions can include household management, linking with resources, transportation, advocating for Participants while teaching, advocating skills, parenting education, other education as needed, etc.)
- Facilitate Participant’s emotional, physical, social and intellectual growth by engaging them in activities
- Utilize strategies such as role modeling, psychoeducation, support and resource identification
- Demonstrate ability to engage, track, and set goals with Participants
- Complete 20-40 hours of initial training and 8 hours of training per year after
- Complete all required agency documentation in a timely manner
Requirements
- 21 years of age
- Knowledge of community resources
- Good driving record
- Must have safe and reliable vehicle and ability to provide proof of auto insurance (100/300/100)
- Completion of all required background checks
- Experience working with youth and adults in a formal or informal setting
- Completion of required training
